Training

JCSys Ltd is in a position to draw upon the significant level of knowledge and experience vested within the Company for the purpose of developing and delivering high quality bespoke CIS/TDL briefing packages. In addition to our standard ‘Introduction to TDL’ packages, material can be developed as appropriate for specific stakeholders from high level decision makers, through procurement staff and engineers to the operational community, covering topics that are pertinent to such roles.
Our experience informs us that most training provision in the TDL domain is focused around understanding the technical details with little focus on how to operate and sustain TDL's. Hence, our courses for operators and maintenance personnel focus on the recognition, diagnosis and troubleshooting of TDL problems, as well as understanding how to make optimum use of the system. For members of these audiences, it is imperative to know how to get a system serviceable or re-synchronised in the shortest possible time. Our unsurpassed Test and Evaluation experience of air, maritime and land systems enables us to cover almost all possible TDL problems, and provide guidance for quick resolution. These courses are currently our most popular offering and typically last 2-3 days for classroom based training, or 3-4 days for training which also includes practical sessions on a client’s own system. Attendees of all courses receive a copy of our interactive troubleshooting guide, and attendees of courses which include practical training also receive a Functional Checks Guide tailored to their particular platform. The Functional Checks Guide is a user friendly document that enables the serviceability of a system to be determined quickly and accurately (for example, as part of a pre/post-flight maintenance routine) and enables a user to diagnose whether any reported problems are due to equipment, interface or procedural issues. No prior TDL knowledge or experience is required to attend our courses!
The JCSys team spans both technical and operational areas and hence we are able to draw upon our resources as appropriate to different audiences. Whilst this is so, our main focus is specific to the provision of an effective operational capability for the end user. We retain our operational focus through many means, one of which is providing active support to Britain’s Reserve Forces; one member of our team is a Sea King ASaC Mk7 Observer in the Royal Naval Reserve Air Branch, and is currently the Link 16 instructor on 849 Naval Air Squadron providing training to all ab-initio Sea King ASaC Observer students undergoing the Operational Conversion Phase of flying training.
Other training courses delivered to date span areas from interoperability management to military naval helicopter operations in different environments (including the use of TDL's) and the provision of MIDS/Link 16 maintenance training for C-130 and KDC-10 Maintenance Crews of the Royal Netherlands Air Force.
