The JCSys Ltd team has been involved in the international CIS/TDL arena for many years, serving the community and pushing the envelope of development. As such, the team possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of the lifecycle that are pertinent to CIS/TDL solutions within both military and civilian applications. With regard to the CIS/TDL arena, the JCSys team comprises experts who are internationally recognised.

JCSys Ltd staffs have been key advisors to the UK MoD for many years providing SME support with regard to CIS/TDLs. One member of our team has been a lead figure in various international data link fora (including the UK/US TDL Bilateral Meetings and the JTIDS International Configuration Review Board) and has been providing advice to the US Single Integrated Air Picture (SIAP) office in his capacity as part of the UK MoD “observer” team. The JCSys team also comprises one of the few recognised experts in the world on the functionality of the JTIDS Terminal and STANAG 4175 (the NATO standard for all JTIDS/MIDS Terminals). Members of our team have also provided key technical support for many years to the UK System Engineering and Integration Group (SE&IG, formerly known as the Integration Authority) on issues relating to UK, NATO and US TDL Standards.

Our expertise in TDL platform integration is recognised worldwide and spans platform types from combat aircraft to support and AEW&C platforms. In terms of the latter, our experience and knowledge is particularly significant and covers the UK E-3D, NATO E-3A, Australian AEW&C “Wedgetail”, Sea King Air Surveillance and Control (SKASaC) System and the Swedish ASC890. The company has also provided a key advisor to the NATO ACCS programme.

JCSys has a specific role to play in Sweden and is considered as a key advisor to the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (Försvarets Materielverk – FMV) in the area of TDL interoperability. JCSys Ltd is a prime advisor on platforms such as the JAS39 GRIPEN, C2STRIC (Ground Based C2 System), ASC890, and Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD) Operational Centre, with regard to the through life management of MIDS/Link 16 as part of a move to make Swedish military assets interoperable with international platforms.

The JCSys CIS team also provides support to our BMD Services team on TDL matters.
